Nobody will ever understand what really makes a motocross
racer tick, except for the true to life, no bullshit racers. Posers that think
they're hardcore do not fit this category. Yeah, every real racer knows exactly
what I'm talking about. You know you live for the feeling of waking up at the
track to the sounds of the water truck out making laps around the track, dozers
shaping up the jumps, generators running, bikes warming up, and people sitting
around just bench racing and talking motocross. You live for putting on all of
your gear and riding down to the line on your prepped machine for that first
round of morning practice, ripping up that totally untouched track, carving out
the lines, and launching the biggest jumps out there. The real ones out there
are all thinking "damn straight" right now, because they know exactly
where this is coming from. Chasing down the guy in front of you and making that
awesome pass.. Ripping a holeshot knowing that the gate full of other riders
wanted it just as bad as you did, but it's yours. Knowing that even if you
don't win, you dug as deep as you could and gave it everything you had without
holding back. Seeing everyone who's behind you just as happy as you are after
you put in a great ride, and also being as upset as you are if things didn't go
your way.The feeling of being at the track is unmatched by anything, because
you know that it's where you belong. You live for this. It's 7 in the morning
and 80 degrees out already. You know it's going to be a hot, long day of
racing, but there's nothing you'd rather be doing. The atmosphere, the rush,
the exhilaration, and the motivation. All things that the posers will never
understand, ever. This is motocross, and if you're real, you agree 100%. If you
can honestly say that you're a REAL racer.
